In the digital age, when the media plays one of the crucial roles in shaping public opinion, the study of linguistic personality becomes especially relevant in the context of such a phenomenon as “Cancel Culture”. This phenomenon, characterized by public condemnation and boycott of individuals or organizations for their inappropriate statements or actions, raises questions about the limits of free speech. An analysis of the linguistic personality of public figures who appeared to be in the center of scandals provides an opportunity to identify linguistic characteristics representing their background and life goals and enables to identify their intentions.
